National Mapping of Charging Point Data

As the number of electric vehicles in Denmark increases, so does the need for publicly accessible charging points. A national access point to real-time, up-to-date data on all publicly available charging points, which will be publicly accessible to all, will help strengthen the development of the charging infrastructure.

Denmark faces a significant task in developing the existing charging infrastructure as more and more electric vehicles take to Danish roads in the coming years.

Working with the Danish Road Directorate, The Danish Agency for Climate Data is developing a national overview of publicly accessible charging points.

An IT solution will be established to receive, display and distribute standardised data from publicly accessible charging points and petrol stations across Denmark.

The solution will include information on the location of charging points, payment options, operational status, usage levels and availability. It will provide a good overview of the country’s charging points – and make driving an electric vehicle in Denmark even more attractive.
